Our Beliefs

We are a theologically conservative Southern Baptist congregation affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, The South Carolina Baptist Convention, and the Lexington Baptist Association. We believe the Bible to be God's revelation to man. It was divinely inspired and is totally accurate and trustworthy. We believe the Bible to be the final authority on all matters of faith and practice. We believe the Bible to be relevant and practical to our every day living.

We believe there is one God and that God has revealed himself to man in three distinct yet undivided persons we call the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God created the universe without the use of pre-existing materials, therefore God is the creator of Life and all humanity is accountable to God.

We believe that all persons are sinful by nature and in need of salvation. Salvation is a pure act of God and no man can do anything to earn their own salvation.

We believe that God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to die for the sins of humanity. Furthermore, we believe Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a perfect, sinless life, and then died on the cross for the atonement of our sins. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and now sits at the right hand of God the Father making intercession for the saints.

We believe that salvation comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That relationship comes by acknowledging our own sinfulness, turning from our sins and trusting Christ as Savior and Lord. We believe salvation is by grace through faith.

We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell.

We believe in the literal and visible return of Christ.
